Clear Prop Tu-143 Reys. Clear Prop is a new Ukrainian company, further cementing that country’s leadership in this field. They produce some really interesting models, too. Some of these have great artwork, though the Tu-143 is not one of those. The TU-143 itself was a Soviet era reconnaissance drone, basically a cruise missile that would fly out, take pictures, then return to its point of origin for recovery by parachute. Russia phased theirs out years ago but Ukraine still has hunrdeds of them. They have received a variety of upgrades, especially in the area of electronic payloads. These elint and jamming versions have been used successfully against their erstwhile orginators.
The model is 1/72 scale (1 inch=6 feet) so it is quite small, about 41/2 inches long, but comes with a cart, a nifty display stand and the all-important Ukrainian markings.
