Their game is to extract the most concessions from creditors. Force them to write down debt. And then make them write down some more debt; their only threat is Grexit and even that isn’t credible since an alternative currency would take months to set up, which would leave all businesses and individuals and the government relying on a substitute currency, which would either be the euro or dollar.

I don’t know if that’s gonna work on Greece’s part. The majority of the EZ countries are pretty much at the end of their patience and wanting to cut Greece loose - they now perceive Greece as a millstone around their collective neck.
