What’s the context?

Long story short:

Black student and White student(friends), send text messages back and forth to each other. Teenage boys ribbing each other. White student sends racially insensitive texts. Black student sends misogynistic texts about White students sister. Black students mother and uncle see texts, get upset. Withdraw and sue school for “promoting racist environment” Media jumps on it and out of context spreads racist school message around (Thanks Shaun King). NAACP protests, more people jump out of woodwork to claim harassment.
