Part of the DUP’s platform is for the soft border to remain between the occupation and the rest of the country. That is going to be a high hurdle for the Tories to breach assuming the DUP stands fast.

We discussed this issue before. I still can’t square that with their demand that there won’t be a special status for NI no matter what. It’s likely to increase the chance that there will be a hard border.
