Old trick for weird screws, may work. Get an old bic pen and remove the inner ink tube. Heat the pointy end with a longer. Just enough to melt, try not to set in fire. Push it onto the screw. Don,t move it but let it cool. When hard use it to unscrew. Used to take video game consoles apart using this trick. Does depend on how firm the screw is

Chuck a No.2 pencil in a drill, hold the eraser hard against the weird screw. (Remember to set the drill to ‘reverse’.)
