GoFundMe allowed it to happen. They helped perpetuate an out and put fraud.

I hate that people need a site like GFM to start with but they really proved they are not a reliable site.

Every single system you can set up will be abused by evil people. Unless you want to shut every single thing humans do to try to help each other, this will happen. Now you can either be angry at the organization or you can be angry at the evil people who do these things. I prefer the evil people. You really don’t want to go down the route of blaming people trying to do good.
