Merkel unlike these idiot right wingers who think Obama was a communist actually lived under it. A lot of right wingers think she’s a lefty. In fact she’s fairly conservative but she doesn’t govern by racialism so she’s a commie to them.

So did my sister-in-law. She was a member of the CPSU (not by choice, really, to get a decent university education in the Soviet Union you had to be a member of the Communist Party).

Now as a naturalised citizen (since 2012), she points out there is no way she’d vote for a Republican, ever. She calls them the American Communist Party.
