People keep focusing on the election and who won and whether or not Russia had a direct impact on it.

Doesn’t matter.

The issue is whether or not a candidate for the presidency worked with a foreign power to manipulate the electoral process. Whether or not money and contacts and influence were exchanged. And now that the candidate is president, the quid pro quo arrangements and blackmail potential that exist.

Those things compromise the independent interests of the United States against an adversarial country.

That’s the issue, not who won the damn election.
