Not to be a party-pooper or anything, but this really is nothing more than a large object moving in front of a light source and casting a shadow on another object. Every shadow is actually an eclipse.
This the the only thing that would actually make me believe in a god: a moon, created from a collision with proto-earth, is large enough, and at the correct distance, to block out the rightaount of sun so that you can see something you would not otherwise be able to see, the corona.
