If he had sense, he’d call an immediate press conference and divulge everything he knows about his hand in the NYC FBI conspiracy. Or maybe head to the French or German embassy to plead for political asylum.

I don’t hail him as a hero. The letter came out on a Friday, if I remember correctly. By Tuesday, it was yanked because no additional information was discovered. The real villains in this were Anthony fucking Weiner and the Russians. In the previous six months, Bernie’s Purity Ponies and the SteinBots, abetted by Russian trolls and fake web sites, had poisoned Hillary’s well to the point where her getting elected was highly problematical.

Did the letter hurt? Probably. A little. But you release an October surprise *early* in October, not ten days before the election, when most people’s minds are made up.

Oh, and by the way, your last sentence is just the raving of a lunatic. McCabe did nothing illegal. Neither did Comey. Ill advised? Yes. Worthy of running off to a foreign embassy to seek asylum?
