oh yeah, bacon grease sammiches were special occasion delicacies for us kids.
We never got to eat the actual bacon, mind you…but the grease really is the best part, isn’t it?
I’ve always liked bacon grease for cooking eggs, or fried potatoes, or making cornbread. I’ll also used it for browning meat, if it feels right with the rest of the recipe.
