I don’t know. I don’t recall that. TBH I get why people pine for new leadership but at the same time, I don’t think going with an untested speaker is a great idea in the age of Trump.

Seems people get to thinking about some kind of liberal nirvana taking the house and they can put in someone new and shiny to deliver it.

But they always always forget the important thing.

This is politics.

A place where pure ideals go to die.

And, the Republicans still have the Senate, and as you said…Trump. All unfair political fighters that love to chew up and spit out ideals. Hell, they even chew up and spit out the Constitution.

We need a street fighter…still. And Pelosi has proven she can fight McConnell’s trickery better than any freakin’ idealist the far lefties can dream up.

It shows they know nothing about politics.
