well Steny would need votes, I have a hard time believing that the influx of new Dem reps would flock to him…. As much as I would endorse Ted Lieu, by putting him in the line of succession, that may disqualify him due to his citizenship status… Perhaps someone like Karen Bass? In that respect, I’m not sure who would have enough cred to be acceptable to a lot of younger representatives. Nonna Nancy has been instructing the younguns on how to play the game and STILL the most important lesson is to be able to count noses and not demand what you don’t have votes for.

Bass wouldn’t be a bad idea either if Nancy wants to go with another Californian and woman. Ted Lieu, I do like him but I don’t see it. I think Bass, Jeffries, and maybe some other people I might be missing are good picks. It won’t be Hoyer though.
