That’s a solid strategy. I’m not a gambler, so walking through the casinos with the Mrs. was only to show her the sights on the Strip and downtown. If you’re going to spend money in Vegas, do it with the shows and food. They’ve got Broadway quality shows and acts, and there’s a seemingly endless supply of good restaurants.
We are partial to the Hugo’s Cellar at the Four Queens Casino on Freemont St. if you want a nice steakhouse experience that goes old school. There’s also the free stuff, like watching the fountains at the Bellagio like Danny Ocean or Treasure Island or the Mirage volcano or the lights on Freemont St.
Or drive out to Valley of Fire State Park or further out to Zion NP or Grand Canyon. :)
