The issue of CRT in schools is like “intelligent design” for creationism, a term meant to serve as an excuse for efforts to twist school curriculums to their desires. In VA and TX, when really pressed about what CRT means to them, white advocates of “anti-CRT” laws and rules have basically been forced to admit they want to remove anything that addresses America’s racist history from the required curriculum as possible.

As a tactical battle, the Alamo battle was a military defeat. As a strategic battle, the Alamo battle was a victory in the Texas Revolution, because it tied up Santa Anna’s troops for thirteen days. Results of the battle were Texas declaring themselves a republic, a huge rush of people joining the army of the rebels. Santa Anna’s army was surprise attacked at the Battle of San Jacinto, even though his army outnumbered the Texians six-to-one, and Santa Anna was routed in less than twenty minutes, essentially ending the war.
