I’m not very well versed in economics, but I suspect that inflation is not just about supply and demand or amount of cash injected into the system, but also about top executives refusing, under any circumstances, to accept that the pay and compensation gap between top executives and labor ever shrink at all, even a little.

We had pretty high inflation back in the 50s and 60s, when the executive salaries were intentionally kept as close to worker salaries through various measures. A lot of that inflation was due to workers having more money to spend than things to spend it on.
