By the way, I have no inherent bias against big pharma. But it does seem to me that a health care bill that makes serious concessions to the drug industry is going to pretty seriously compromised. These companies are just as cutthroat as any other major transnational, and they’re going to get the things they want, that will advance their businesses.

Nothing inherently wrong with that, again. But don’t be under the illusion that interests of the drug industry and your interests as a health care consumer are identical.

And I would say the same thing about the government… don’t be under the illusion that interests of the Obama administration and your interests as a health care consumer are identical.
