This isn’t even the minority view of cranks any more. This seems to be the prevailing attitude of most conservatives at this point. I can count the number of conservatives I’ve seen repudiating this crap on one hand and still have a few fingers left over.

It’s one hell of an argument for the power of brainwashing.

It’s also a hell of an argument for just how much of an uphill battle it’s going to be to get the GOP and the conservative movement back to facing reality.

How do you get through to people who are utterly convinced that the entire world around them is the exact opposite of how things really are?
