I was walking the Greyhounds one evening, and a skunk came around the corner of a fence, about 10 yards ahead.

We saw each other at the same time and stopped dead, just staring at each other.

We both stood motionless, except for his tail, which slo-o-owly came up.

The doggies and I crossed the street, and the skunk went on about his business.
