So, got done watching the third episode of Chernobyl.

Again, exceedingly well done, well-written, well-directed and of course, well-acted. And I have to add, the people behind the VFX deserve an award - their work on recreating ARS injuries is absolute, undiluted nightmare fuel.

It makes it excruciatingly hard to watch.

The interesting thing was how the miners actually were requisitioned to do the work and how their leader tried to do right by his people.

In the end, they never had to implement the cooling system, because the reactor never melted all the way down - they filled in the tunnel built with concrete and called it a day.

But at the time, they didn’t know that.
