Given all the saber rattling how do you get a “new” treaty with Iran when you’ve already proved that the USA under his control will not keep the previous one and also appears to be attempting to get a cause belli for a war at the same time?

Unless this is some belief that Iran can be bullied into accepting something.

Bolton and Pompeo are lusting for war — Trump, not so much. Iran’s leaders are not stupid; they are probably studying the NK playbook to see how to manipulate him into giving them everything they want, including nuclear weapons.
