I hope that our electoral system is robust enough to weather this all-out assault on its integrity and reliability.

Up to now, it has been based on mutual goodwill and trust with only a modicum of supervision from each side. But now we have one side out ready to undermine it, to simply refuse to register or certify outcomes that it does not like.

And that is why the defeat of the election stealing faction in the Georgia GOP primary gives me hope. Kemp and Raffensperger are far from good guys, but at least they didn’t arbitrarily void black votes to reverse the election just because Trump asked them to, which Perdue and Hice would’ve done in 2024. I’m still hoping Democrats win those races, of course, and since Trump hates Kemp and Raffensperger, they may have a chance.
