The media could have run with the most fantastic story since Watergate if they had pursued Russian interference when it was first brought up last year. It would have garnered them praise and restored some of their reputation. Instead they got distracted by Trump.

The depth of quality is no longer there. People don’t want such a meaningful story. Those that are able to write it well are probably not employed by major news media. At least that is not what they are paid to do.

We’ll read about it in 10-15 years in a large well-written book by Ron Chernow.
