It had been coming for a while, with all those gay-for-Putin memes they’ve been passing around for years. They hate the faux-tyranny of having to obey civil rights laws, but love actual tyranny. So many of us are so, so stupid.

And it’s not just the wingnuts. There’s an alarmingly large chunk of the left — not even the extreme left — that thinks more positively of Putin than anything in the US.
