Yep. Canadian quarters and pennies aren’t uncommon here. You have to be aware of the quarters so that you don’t use them in a vending machine or parking meter.

Of course, most parking meters downtown (both Mpls and St. Paul) are the new-fangled electronic type where you pay at the kiosk, instead of the old coin-operated type.
