Is there a socially conscious person with money who would be willing to start an alternative? Could we GoFundMe a buyout of Twitter?

It would have to be someone willing to take a huge loss. Twitter is a money-hole, and any alternative will be too unless someone finds a way to make a profit is what so far has been a derp-fest.
