I really fail to see how the Palestinians should see that as a positive thing in terms of negotiations.

Apparently, if I am translating his deranged derpy ramblings correctly, he thinks that they should be thanking him because according to him, Jerusalem was the major sticking point in Palestinian-Israeli negotiations, and he’s done them all a favor by simply declaring it an Israeli holding. He also thinks the Israelis would have paid a pretty penny for that concession by the Palestinians, and that the Palestinians fucked up by not negotiating this before he got involved, missing out on the price Israel would have paid.
