The personal compatibility has some interaction with the religious orientation. For some people, religious compatibility is trivial (e.g. atheists or especially agnostics). For some people, like conservative wingnuts, it is everything.

That’s the thing: At least at the time, my first wife was not a wingnut, she was primarily apolitical (though she supported certain liberal causes like Planned Parenthood).
