And the BBC aired “The Black and White Minstrel Show” until 1978.

I’m remembering Harry Connick, Jr. He was in Australia being interviewed and there was a performance done in blackface in the show and HC Jr told the interviewer in a very serious tone how offensive that really was. Made me a big fan of Harry’s for sure.
