If you notice an eerie glow in the sky southwest of Chicago, that’s just my incandescent crankiness today.

We started 2020 with 5 dogs. Had to say goodbye to two of them last year.

This morning we had to say goodbye to another. Skylla was a rat terrier, small but incredibly athletic and fearless. She was the one dog that all the family members would let snuggle in their laps when visiting.

I’ll really miss her.
