Oh, time has a habit of proving men like Tesla right. It wasn’t more than two generations prior to his that Charles Babbage drew up the plans for the Analytical Engine, which was the theoretical forebearer of all modern general-purpose computers. The only thing that prevented it from being reality was that metallurgy wasn’t up to the task of producing the millions of tiny parts to the necessary strength for it all to work.
