You all must have broken the Amazon supply chain. My Kindle Fire order says it won’t be shipped until May 14.

Won’t be a big deal if I decide to keep it for myself, but the birthday I was thinking about giving it for is 4/27. I guess it will be HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY.

They may ship it sooner-sometimes they seem to just pull shipping dates out of the ether.
In any event, belated birthday gifts (through no fault of the giver) are usually acceptable, as are early gifts.

I just bought a new-to-me floor loom (note that I already have a perfectly functional floor loom, but this one is different!) My husband perked up and said “I guess I don’t have to buy you a birthday present?”
My birthday is at the end of May. And no, he doesn’t have to buy me a present.
