Oh, I feel stupid now. I agree though. Callling Social Security an entitlement is bullshit. We pay in to that from the minute we get our first jobs.

That’s what MAKES IT an entitlement. Social Security and Medicare are paid for by the recipients all their working lives, so they’re ENTITLED to it. Same for Veteran’s benefit.

Somewhere along the line, ‘entitlement’ became a bad word.
