Well, I was referring to the fear that Bush would refuse to vacate the office, but point taken. The flipside to that was that Bush was still relatively popular in 2004, and the same thing can’t be said for Trump. He’s really disliked by a lot of people right now, and there’s nothing I can see happening to change that. Certainly a 9/11 type event would not accrue to his advantage like it did Bush. The days of shaming people into being “patriotic” (read, nice to the GOP) are over.
