I don’t know man. I mean I always felt conflicted about this. I think yeah we need to remember 9/11 but there also needs to be a point where we move on. December 7, 1958 was probably remembered but we do need to move on in a way too. But I guess what I hate is what we’ve used 9/11 for in the years since. An excuse to hate on those different than us.

To think how, since that day, the Right has capitalized on fear to push an agenda of torture, mistrust and a perverse interpretation of patriotism just makes me feel extremely sad.

And it makes me doubly sad to see how many of us readily bought right into it.
