what we want is for every gun owner to control his weapon at all times. and to be held 100% totally personally, financially and legally responsible for everything done with that gun

that includes storing, brandishing, illegally carrying or transporting, “unintentional” discharges, irresponsible temporary or permanent transfers (sales or loans) to other people….

*everyone* should be for gun accountability

I own a gun. I have no trouble with registering it.

Interestingly, new guns are like any other product; the manufacturer has you sign a mail-in postcard to register the date you bought it for the manufacturer’s warranty.

If the government wanted to “round up guns,” they could just get the records from firearms manufacturers.
