Lawrence et al. were talking about this last night. They decided that Bannon was probably hoping for a conviction with jail time, so he can play the martyr. He’s been pretty much out of the public eye for the last few years, and this would be a way to be noticed again.

I doubt Bannon wants to spend time in jail at his age.
