Well I’m no expert - good field, no hit former second baseman here! - but the aluminum bats do supposedly make the ball go farther than the wood bats and also are lighter, enabling little leaguers to get the bat speed they need to really hit the ball.
I hate em, personally. But then again I hate the Designated Hitter Rule and the Baseball commissioner seems able to live with my stated dislikes so……………….! LOL!
