West Virginia’s where I’m from. Family been there since early 20th. The community is not quite so large today as it was, say, in the 50’s, when everybody started moving out.

One of my bosses makes fun of me because I like country music, I use the word “cuss” instead of “swear” and say “ain’t” on occasion. He says a Jewish, girl from NYC shouldn’t oughta talk like that. (Ok, I added the “oughta” :p)
