I agree, but wish our presidents had the fortituide to nominate the best and brightest for a job so important and then stand by the choice instead of looking for nominees who have so sparse a record - whether as a judge or scholar — that the people are denied a real debate on the nominee. And that goes for liberal-Dem nominations as well as conservative-Repub ones.
