A good example of which was seen right here a couple of years back, when some insurance company promoted an Earth Day thing asking people to (voluntarily) turn off all their lights for one specific hour.

Many of the wingnuts that were still here proudly claimed that they would turn on every appliance, every light, every HVAC full blast, because the were conservatives, you see.
