It seems all too common that every fall once cold weather hits and people turn on gas heaters, somewhere there is a major fire or explosion.

I remember growing up how we had one central space furnace, and how it was checked every year for leaks, though with the the trace of hydrogen sulfide in the gas mixture it was very easy to smell a leak.
