My standard response to people with tiny dogs when I’m out with my boys, “Well, there’s 40lbs of mean in a 5lb bag.” - always gets a smile.

And for people with humongous dogs, I say, “Well, aren’t you just a big ole bag of dog food.” - that usually gets a “You can say that again.”
