The Tea Party was seen as likely to disrupt the GOP’s attempt to secure a majority. But they didn’t, because as rancorous as the primaries may have been, come November they went out and voted for the Republican for every position. They didn’t stay home and bitch.

That’s probably the only positive thing I can say about the Tea Party. We mocked their purity wars, but in the General, they went out and voted Republican, even if they thought the nominee was an establishment sell out.

I wouldn’t mind the BernieBros bitching about the Democratic Party Establishment, if they could be trusted to vote for WHOEVER wins the primary. But history does not give me comfort.
