Okay. Let’s run with that thought. What if this guy was just a frustrated individual that thinks like many here. That would be this country fucking sucks and he has grown so disillusioned with things like healthcare and gun control that he just says fuck it, goes out and arms up and gets ready for his last statement, totally different from what everyone knew about him.

Then sometime last week he decides he will show everyone how fucked up this country really is. He’s says to himself, you want guns, you want to shirk healthcare for people; here are your guns, here is why you are going to need healthcare.

Maybe he thinks if he can pull off the worst mass gun shooting ever and cause the need for healthcare he can bring about change. Maybe he forces America to talk about guns now. Maybe they see through the injured how important healthcare is.

What if that really is his motive and know one will ever know.

Is he a terrorist? What if he was politically motivated and we don’t know?

How many are prepared to tell the friends and family this wasn’t terrorism? What are the definitions of a word if they don’t define how people are now using them?

Then he was a really, really inept terrorist.

I guess I don’t understand the need to label this as terrorism, since terrorism has a definition that doesn’t seem to fit, and there are terms for what this is that do fit, like ‘mass shooting’, or ‘massacre’.

I understand that the eagerness of the Right to characterize any untoward act by nonwhite and/or non-Christians, especially Muslims as ‘terrorism’ drives a desire to correctly label heinous acts committed by white and/or Christians as terrorism, but eventually the term becomes meaningless if too widely applied.
