The governor’s announced mandatory evacuation for the usual suspects (i.e. folks in low-lying areas and near major rivers that are flood-prone), which means when I go to the store tomorrow, I can expect the place to look like a scene from a zombie apocalypse film. Store shelves picked clean, people grabbing shit they don’t need but have been told is “vital,” and the necessities (milk, bread, water) piled in shopping carts like it’s the end of the fucking world.

*sigh*

I went to the grocery store this afternoon and it wasn’t crowded, there was plenty of water and everything else. Then went to the gas station, and was second in line at the pump, they still had regular, and they hadn’t jacked the price as yet.
