You know that garlic hack from yesterday? I just tried it. It turns out that you have to use a particular very short stiff-bladed paring knife. My paring knife is too flexible and all it did was shred the garlic instead of removing it whole from the peel.

Oh yeah, and you can hurt yourself if you use the wrong type of knife. I didn’t cut myself because I stopped once I saw the hack wasn’t working for me, but it can bite you, like that showy avocado seed removal with a machete thing.
