Okay, I will accept (since a bunch of people upvoted your comment) that I am a “purity pony” for posting snarky comments or informative tweets from Twitterati.

I see how others might think I am hypocritical for posting comments from other people, even though I have no account myself, and though I have resisted my own state government’s demand that as my village’s Public information Officer I refuse to open a Twitter or Facebook account.

I concede. I am a hypocrite.

Therefore, since I do not wish to be a hypocrite (and certainly not a “purity pony,” the definition of which seems to be ‘something I don’t like’), I will no longer look at people who post informative things there and especially not repost them here.

I despise hypocrisy, and if I am being called out as a hypocrite, I need to examine that and determine if that is true or if it is tone-policing.

I still ain’t using Uber. I don’t care for exploiting workers.

I’m off to Denver in the morning to have my car serviced after it was pummeled near to death by softball-size hail.

As such, I will be missing from here. I also need to take a break from political commentary here for a while. I don’t know whether that will be a few days or a few months, but the open despite for my position about Twitter and Uber makes me feel as though I am not welcome here.

I will still read, as this is an important place to learn things I cannot learn from my completely conservative controlled local media. I presume the commentary from a purity pony isn’t necessary though.
