Harris should stay in the Senate, that is where she can do the most good (unless a future Democratic president wants to nominate her for the Supreme Court).
Also, I am very leery of any “populist” moment. I don’t trust populism at all.
Populism is untrustworthy, but the Democrats need to find a way to deal with issues of jobs and economic stagnation. “Business mostly as usual” while only the Davos set seems to be doing well isn’t going to cut it.
The sticking point is that the Democrats are going to have to make an ask of their donor class, and plutocrats don’t like that.
