Bass wouldn’t be a bad idea either if Nancy wants to go with another Californian and woman. Ted Lieu, I do like him but I don’t see it. I think Bass, Jeffries, and maybe some other people I might be missing are good picks. It won’t be Hoyer though.

One issue is that the Speakership is very different when the president is from the same party - even more so if one party has the trifecta.
